Hello, I'm Frankie Norman, an illustrator and country bumpkin working from my cottage in Wiltshire.
Using gouache and coloured pencils to create soft, whimsical artwork, I'm heavily inspired by life in the English countryside, and the secret worlds that float into our minds when we least expect them. My passion lies in children's illustration, believing that the stories we hear in our childhood are integral to who we become in later life.
With an illustration degree from the Arts University Bournemouth, I've been freelancing for many years and have worked on a variety of projects including editorial, publishing and licensing. Clients include, Olleo Puzzles, Open Hairdressing, Lionheart Magazine, Tache Cards, and Madame Poppins NL.
I also work on personal commissions for clients all over the world, turning their families, homes and pets into scenes straight from a storybook.
When I'm not in my studio painting (rare), you can find me twirling through country lanes, making jam or trying *really* hard not to add to my massive book collection.
